Bangkok Hospital Medical Center Receives Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce Award

Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) June 26, 2008 -- Bangkok Hospital Medical Center has garnered "the best professional service award" as recognized by the Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber held its annual Business Excellence Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on May 12 to celebrate the successes of last year's Thai-Canadian business community. A total of seven awards were presented to recognize outstanding performances in the market place, community and country by member organizations during 2007.

Bangkok Hospital Medical Center (BMC) received its award for providing professional services and demonstrating vision and entrepreneurship for the betterment of the profession, as recognized by peers in the industry.

BMC is an expansive, state-of-the-art medical campus providing comprehensive medical care through multidisciplinary teams of highly trained specialists. It has more than 650 full-time and consulting physicians, 700 nurses, and numerous teams of support technicians and specialists.

The medical campus offers virtually every amenity imaginable, from concierge services and luxury accommodation, to translation and visa assistance, even shopping and dining, ensuring every patient's stay is a comfortable one.

With its four hospitals, more than 20 medical centers, and six specialized clinics, BMC is equipped with diagnostic and treatment facilities not generally available at local hospitals. The four hospitals include Bangkok Hospital, Bangkok International Hospital, Bangkok Heart Hospital, and the Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital.

Last year BMC was accredited with the Joint Commission International Gold Seal of Approval 2007 in recognition of its rigorous standards of excellence in treatment and overall patient care.

JCI is a US-based organization widely seen as the gold standard for top-level health care service providers worldwide. Achieving JCI accreditation was not only an internal milestone, but one for Thailand as a center of medical excellence. It is now officially recognized that the practices at BMC - from doctors, nurses and the management team - forms the same integrated approach to those benchmarks of medical facilities in the United States.

BMC also received Telemedicine for the Mobile Society 2007 (TEMOS) certification, which is relied upon by travelers and insurance and emergency assistance companies worldwide. BMC has also won the Asian Hospital Management Award in recognition of patient safety and quality medical care.
