Country Life Vitamins Promotes Improved Health for Celiacs

Undiagnosed celiac disease inhibits the body's ability to absorb and digest nutrients properly, leading to vitamin deficiencies. One out of 133 people in the United States has the genetic predisposition for celiac disease. For every person diagnosed, 90 go undiagnosed for years. Besides celiac disease, there are other forms of non-celiac gluten intolerances. It is estimated that more than five percent of people follow a gluten free diet, including people with autism spectrum disorders, chronic pain and chronic fatigue syndromes, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis. It is still unclear how effective the diet is in treating non-celiac gluten intolerances. People who want to try a gluten free diet should first be tested for celiac disease. Regardless of the reasons, over 15 million people follow a gluten free diet and are at risk for nutritional deficiencies.
