-- At CES, the world's largest tradeshow for consumer technology, HP

   unveiled a broad lineup of products, services and relationships

   that make it easier than ever for consumers to adopt a

   high-definition, digital lifestyle.

     -- HP updated its portfolio of consumer PCs with new systems such

        as the HP Pavilion tx2000 Series Entertainment Notebook PC,

        which offers unmatched touch and pen experience and HP

        QuickPlay software, and the HP Pavilion Slimline s3300, which

        features a dual-format Blu-ray and HD-DVD player in a design

        one-third of the size of a traditional PC tower.

     -- HP enhanced its HP MediaSmart product line with an all-new

        MediaSmart Receiver - which allows consumers to stream movies,

        music and photos from any networked PC or device in the home

        to any high-definition TV. HP also announced that it is now

        making every TV it sells a connected HP MediaSmart TV, and it

        introduced enhancements to its MediaSmart LCD HDTVs and

        industry-leading MediaSmart Sever.

     -- HP expanded its digital content services with the

        introductions of the HP iPAQ Navigate website, which makes

        online trip planning and sharing a snap, and HP Upline, a new

        online storage service that allows customers to store digital

        content in a secure, offsite location, while still being able

        to easily access, share and manipulate their content over any

        Internet connection.

-- HP showcased PC designs by MTV contest winner Joao Oliveira and

   world-renowned designers Paul Frank, James De La Vega, Rebecca

   Minkoff, and others.

     -- HP displayed, for the first time, the new, Artist Edition HP

        Pavilion notebook featuring the "Asian Odyssey" personal

        design of 20-year-old Joao Oliveira of Porto, Portugal - the

        winner of the "Take Action. Make Art." global notebook-design

        competition. Also on display at CES are the "extreme makeover"

        notebooks created as part of HP and PC Magazine's

        "Computerlicious Design Experience."

-- HP also committed to reduce PC energy usage by 25 percent and now

   leads industry in EPEAT-Gold products.

     -- At CES, HP committed to reduce the energy consumption of its

        volume desktop and notebook PC families by 25 percent by 2010.

        HP also now leads the industry in the number of Electronic

        Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT(TM)) Gold listed

        products with the introduction of more than two dozen PCs

        registered in North America at either the Gold or Silver

        rating levels.
